The Symmetrically Distributed Server Network (SDSNTM) allows you to connect multiple AfterBurnerTM servers together. It helps balance serving loads, reduce bottlenecks and increase efficiency of delivery of web pages, graphics, video, audio and other forms of digital communication. The system is designed to analyze each user's Internet connection, determine the best server from which they should receive data, and deliver the data in a manner than minimizes Internet traffic. The system has been used to service 800 to 1,200 simultaneous viewers and as many as 100,000 daily viewers for up to a million minutes of live streaming video per day. For example, the family of AfterBurnerTM Servers have been used successfully since February 1997 for clients working with motion pictures such as Lost In Space, Show Girls, and cybercast of an interview with Arthur C. Clarke, the author of 2001: A Space Odyssey, 2010, and now 3001. DVBS is preparing to patent 12 distinct SDSNTM related technologies. |
